Greetings from someone else The show is over the audience is gone stuck in a lonely hotel room I’ve left all the lights on I sit in the bathtub for sure I drank to much my mobile phone is laughing at me - no I’m not drunk enough But I still got my guitar and I’m still on the road what else could one of the last good old men look for maybe one day I’ll write a postcard so you should check your mail cause a different man might send you greetings from someone else The last chord’s played it’s time for curtain call time to admit that this was really all of course you’re not the first and you won’t be the last and these were „only“ three more years that went by too fast And I still got my guitar I’m still on the road what else could one of the last good old men look for maybe one day I’ll write a postcard so you should check your mail cause a different man might send you greetings from someone else And like the ink on the postcard the memories will fade but I will always remember our time at the bay I can’t call you avoid to meet you but don’t get me wrong at the moment all that I can do is keep singing our song Am I someone else? Are you someone else? Who became someone else?

Some other day We all end up in the same old mess even your life my friend is followed by death how many times have you said: „I’ll never drink that much again“ And what about this stupid thing they call love it always end up with a broken heart the road neath my feet is the only good thing with my fingers on worn out strings But you don’t have to say that this is not your way I’ll be back on some other day Hand me your lighter cause soon I’ll be gone Just one more cigarette and one more boring song This isn’t what it was expected to be cause you’re too drunk to kiss that’s what they call destiny I’m a lonesome rider on a lonesome road I always travel with love but all on my own I really like how fast your heart is beating in your chest and the smile on your face asks: „don’t you need a rest?“ But I have to say that this is not my way I’ll be back on some other day Don’t blame me if I leave I never said you meant nothing to me But these chords are more trusty than you could ever be and that is all that matters to me
